SAP has ceded to pressure from user groups, agreeing to slow the rate at which it applies a new tariff for software support. April 29 (Bloomberg) — SAP AG, the world’s biggest maker of business-management software, said first-quarter license revenue plunged 33 percent, more than analysts anticipated, as demand fell amid the global economic slowdown.
German software company SAP AG said Wednesday that the company’s first quarter net profit fell 16 percent because of factors including lower software revenues as businesses cut back purchasing in the recession, and on charges from staff reductions.
